Minecraft costumes are a reliable hit with kids, and the blocky style makes them some of the easiest to recreate. Here are the characters worth building.
Steve and Alex
The two default heroes are the simplest place to start: a square head piece, a teal or coloured top and plain trousers. A toy pickaxe or sword finishes the look.
Creeper
The green creeper is the most recognisable character of all, and the boxy head and pixel face do all the work. It suits kids who want something spotted instantly across a party.
Enderman, zombie and skeleton
For older kids who want a bit of menace, the mobs scale up nicely with a darker palette and a blocky mask. They sit neatly alongside classic Halloween themes too.
